Stages

I have come to learn that kids go through stages. Some are good, some are not. from my last few postings you can see that Malorie is going through a funny stage. She cracks us up on a daily basis. This doesn't mean that she doesn't give us a run for our money, but even on those days she is pretty cute. This also doesn't mean that Annalie and Thomas aren't cute, I just don't have video of them. :)

Annalie has been the BEST big sister for Thomas and she has been a HUGE help for me. Thomas will calm down for only two people, Mom and Annalie.

I love watching these two interact and it is so precious to see Thomas watch Annalie as she comes into the room. He sure is lucky to have a great big sister!

Horton's Who?

Malorie memorized a line from 'Horton Hears a Who'. If you can't understand her, she is saying, "You're finished in this town, you boob!" Although I don't condone my kids calling others a 'boob' it is so cute I couldn't resist posting it. Enjoy!

That's what I am talking about.

I have been able to stay home with the kids since having Thomas and it has been so much fun. It has been quite the adjustment to being the entertainer again but for the most part I am entertained by the kids. Malorie is at the stage where she is a sponge for things that are said. For example we saw an infomercial for a product called 'Smooth Away' and now she has a pretend 'Smooth Away' that she helps us remove unwanted hair with.

Another favorite saying of Malorie's is, "That's what I am talkin' about." This is said when we see something that she likes or it is used when trying to clarify something she says.

I love having Malorie as our "middle child". She is a great playmate for Annalie and she will be a great competitor for Thomas. :) Thus ending my ode to Malorie.

More pictures of Thomas

I just wanted to share a few photos of Thomas for all of our out of town family and friends. It is his two week birthday today and he is already so mature for his age. :) The girls have been a HUGE help and love having a little brother! We sure are lucky to have such a great family!

I love Thomas' face in this picture...it is like he knows what to expect from Malorie. :)

Boy, Oh Boy, Oh Boy!

After much anticipation, our little Thomas Matthew Day was born on June 2 at 8:05am. He we 8lb 3oz and 20 inches long! Even though the hospital staff kept saying he was such a "big boy", he is very tiny in our arms! He is so perfect and soft as little babies are. We are getting used to our new family dynamic. Annalie loves being the helper and Malorie is realizing that her turf has officially been stepped on. :) We are adjusting to a new night time routine of less sleep and a day time routine full of kisses for a cute little boy.

Go, go, go Joseph

Before bed each night the girls choose a CD to listen to while they go to sleep. The other night Annalie picked 'Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat' soundtrack. When she was Malorie's age she and I would ride along and Annalie would be the narrator and I would be Joseph and we could basically sing the entire soundtrack. I feel as though I have failed Malorie as a mom because this was the first time that she had ever heard it. Anyway, Sunday morning the girls and I are driving to church (as Matt is already there for meetings) and we were listening to 'Joseph' again. As we are singing along Annalie said, "Mom, Joseph has a really good voice!" I said, "Yes he does! It is Donny Osmond." To which Annalie replied, "No, Mom, he has a REALLY good voice! I mean, he is A LOT better than Dad!" "Yep."

I guess Donny has a new fan.

Camping In

Since Colorado weather does not permit us to camp out at this time of year and since my pregnant belly and pending baby will not let us camp out this summer, we are lucky enough to have received a beach tent from Great Grandma Lucy to have a camp in! We put the tent up in the toy room and the girls slept there for about a week. We finally told them that they needed to sleep in their own beds....but not without one last night. :)
